The home is organised around two volumes and a central winter garden, a defining element that the intervention seeks not to diminish, but rather to enhance. Walls give way to a more continuous sequence of spaces, the interiors draw closer to the surrounding vegetation, and light flows freely throughout the home, revealing a space imbued with tranquillity.

A palette of warm tones, existing timber, marble and bespoke joinery lend depth to the whole. The materiality is rich in character without ever becoming ostentatious. Contemporary pieces meet objects discovered in antique shops, creating an ongoing dialogue between different periods of Brazilian design. From this coexistence emerges a kind of constructed memory: a home that, although modern, seems to retain traces of other lives and other times, as though each choice had travelled through the years to endure. Even the technical elements dissolve into the composition, integrated into a whole that favours discretion.
