Designed by Ekaterina Subbotina Interiors, this project is a tribute to minimalism, infused with a hint of sophistication.
Designed for a family of two (mother and son), this Moscow apartment offers a space of comfort - simple, elegant, and full of personality.

After several years of travelling for work, the client's professional life has stabilised, and she now spends most of her time at home. This was a significant consideration for interior designer Ekaterina Subbotina when working on the project.
Considering the small size of the apartment (80 m²), the design team incorporated an interior window between the master bedroom and the dressing area to create an office space harmoniously integrated into the overall design.

When selecting the colour palette and materials, Ekaterina took a natural and minimalist approach. Both the house floor and the kitchen panelling are made of wood. In the other rooms, light neutral tones on the walls are accentuated by decorative elements.
The furniture and several decorative elements were designed and customised by the designer specifically for this project. Regarding the lighting, the team at Ekaterina Subbotina Interiors opted for vintage Italian lamps.
As an art lover, the client requested the designer to incorporate a classic still life painting into the interior design project, a gift from a loved one during her childhood. In addition to this artwork, Ekaterina has showcased two of her own creations in the apartment - the wall panel ‘The Sun of this House’ and the painting ‘White Garden’.

The outcome of this project is a functional, cosy, refined, and vibrant home - perfect for a small family.
