The creative coworking firma has opened its permanent space and exhibition space in the centre of Brussels.
Eight years after founding the first 'firma' in an industrial area in Vilvoorde and a successful pop-up on Brussels Boulevard Anspach, the creative coworking firma opened its official residence in the centre of Brussels on June 1st.
The company installed itself in an industrial building measuring 800 m2 in the centre of Brussels, which houses the Plasticarium – the museum with the world's largest collection of plastic objects. Firma II is now open to creative entrepreneurs after a major renovation and conversion led by KEPER Architects. Like the other branches, the interior is bathed in natural light and is a minimalist and welcoming creative space.
There, in addition to flexible work areas, meeting rooms and common spaces, we also find a coworking café where you can have lunch, drink a coffee or enjoy co-work paid by the hour.
Firma also regularly organizes exhibitions by Belgian designers and artists, such as the exhibition 'Family Reflections', now on display. For this exhibition, the creative studio Baroness O. invited a selection of Belgian artists and designers with whom they share a visual and/or aesthetic identity. Under the motto "Show me who your friends are, and I'll tell you who you are", this group of artists and designers reflects the company's identity. Works and objects from the likes of Stephane Barbier Bouvet, Niels Raoul Boone, Clarisse Bruynbroeck, Bieke Buckinx, Destroyers Builders, Jord Lindelauf, Thibeau Scarcériaux, Ben Storms, Studio Matta, Bram Vanderbeke, Elias Van Orshaegen and paulineplusluis are on display throughout the space.
With the arrival of this permanent branch in the centre of Brussels, the firma is even more committed to building a sustainable community of creative entrepreneurs looking for more than just a place to work. Firma presents itself as a place for and by entrepreneurs who believe in the power of flexible, small-scale workplaces where many synergies can emerge.
