Po Valley Mansion is eponymously named after the vast valley in which it lies. The old manor house is nestled in low lying parklands that are peppered with ancient trees.
The owners of Po Valley Mansion contracted SUPERFUTUREDESIGN* to renovate and design their spectacularly ancient mansion that lay in the rolling hills of the North-Italian countryside. The manor house was to be wholly repurposed to provide separate living accommodation for three siblings and their families.
Po Valley Mansion is eponymously named after the vast valley in which it lies. The old manor house is nestled in low lying parklands that are peppered with ancient trees. As part of the design process, the peace, tranquillity and history of the home's location were to be carried contemporarily into the renovation and replanning. The family’s brief was to highlight and retain the unique character of the house. SUPERFUTUREDESIGN* has reimagined and interpreted the architectural structure and seamlessly blended the traditional craftsmanship with enriched modern features.
The home has been elegantly segregated, affording the families complete privacy and an impression of their own style whilst retaining the same overall charm and unified spirit. The vast 2000 square metre mansion has been split into three contemporary loft-style duplex apartments. SUPERFUTUREDESIGN* has translated the brief effortlessly and highlighted exposed beams, bare brickwork and wide floorboards with a modern twist and fresh architectural features. Original and additional windows allow light to pool beautifully throughout the homes emphasizing the clever juxtaposition between old and new. The artful tectonic features allow the overall design to be flawlessly combined with the ageless use of timeworn furniture and minimalistic design.
Each section of the mansion has been treated separately and designed according to the sense and sensibility of each family. SUPERFUTUREDESIGN* has created a harmonious organic flow between the three distinct homes, yet each section is synchronized and understandably coherent.

Po Valley Mansion has been designed with the use of locally sourced, sustainable natural materials. The judicious use of wood, glass and stone has resulted in the creation of spaces that exude warmth, freshness and illumination. The mansion has been transformed and is a unique blend of modern styling and heritage appeal. The minimal use of furniture allows for maximum space and enhances the overall aesthetic appeal. The unadorned or simply painted walls pair perfectly with the endless natural light and natural greens giving the home a feeling of natural beauty.
