Located in a 1921 two-story farmhouse in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles staple Garde just opened its doors to a second location. Summerland was born from an interdisciplinary vision of culture, after establishing itself as the mecca for avant-garde design and impeccable taste.

The concept behind the project was originally born by founders and tastemakers Scotti Sitz and John Davidson, who set out to bring together a wide selection of furniture, lighting and home accessories, showcasing the best in today’s design.

Part concept store and part Airbnb, on the ground floor one can find an outside patio and its roaming Silkie chickens, just next to the store, offering works of well-known designers such as Apparatus, When Objects Work, Workstead, Egg Collective, as well as new and exclusive collections by designers like Ben Storms, DIM Atelier, Arno Declercq or Portola Paints.

Upstairs, the second floor became the Garde House, a stunning Airbnb 1,000 sq. foot apartment that gathers a delicious collection of Garde furnishings. From August 1st, guests will have the possibility to enjoy a delightful and cozy experience and also purchase some unique amenities, signed by names like John Pawson or Piet Boon.
