While sustainability and the reuse of materials are taking centre stage, it’s time for Hermès to bring to the Portuguese capital some news about one of their most emblematic projects, petit h.

After traveling around the world, Hermès store lands in Chiado, in Lisbon, and is now the backdrop for dozens of Portuguese relics produced by the brand artisans and designers, aiming to value the handcrafted work. From 6th to 16th September, the first floor of the space becomes an authentic cabinet of curiosities, bringing together the savoir-faire and materials like leather, silk, porcelain or crystal.

In the trip to Hermès’ lab of ideas and experiences, Godefroy de Virieu, creative director of the brand, collaborates with the Portuguese artist Joana Astolfi, who explores the world of discoveries, known in the Portuguese city. Some of the highlights are a leather seat with the shape of a canoe, a sailboat made with silk scarves or an imposing leather bookcase.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops directed by Isabelle Leloup. The places are limited and must be booked.
