In its former existence, it was a furniture factory, these days, the space located between Martim Moniz and Campo Mártires da Pátria, in Lisbon, is home to the Carpintarias de São Lázaro. The new Cultural Center of the Portuguese capital, which offers the perfect symbiosis between innovation and creativity, will open its doors at the end of January and aims to bring together people, communities and knowledge.

From 25th to 27th, the 1800 square meters of the building will be the stage for several artistic performances, that want to enhance the contemporary program of the city. Participants will have the opportunity to see the exhibition Jeu de 54 cartes, by the Portuguese artist Jorge Molder, live cinema and the project A Música Portuguesa a Gostar Dela Própria.

Among the highlights are also the first artistic residence “AiR Carpintarias 2018” on the 27th, supported by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and Cozinha dos Vizinhos, a gastronomic project, the result of the collaboration with Cozinha Popular da Mouraria.
