With a solid career based on a totally articulated vision of design, Piero Lissoni is one of those names that are impossible to overlook when talking about Italian architecture and design. His studio, Lissoni Associati, which he founded with Nicoletta Canesi, receives projects from all over the world, accumulating a respectable list of long-term partnerships with renowned companies. Our meeting in Milan, on the occasion of the celebration of 50 years of Living Divani, led to the following interview.
When did design become part of your life?
Piero Lissoni: Almost immediately, ever since high school. Then I went on to university and started doing the rounds of the various architecture studios in Milan.
