Proudly Portuguese but with an undeniable global presence and attitude, MOR Design boasts a magnificent portfolio of pieces created and manufactured to endure through time and pass from generation to generation.
With premium materials and the "made in Portugal" quality seal, MOR's portfolio comprises furniture, lighting, and decorative objects created in collaboration with established and up-and-coming national and international designers. Among the designers who have already collaborated with MOR Design are names such as Álvaro Siza, Manuel Aires Mateus, Keiji Takeuchi, Christian Haas, Daniel Schofield, and Eduardo Aires. In October, the brand expanded its portfolio with three new additions: a sofa designed by Julien Renault, a bowl designed by Rui Alves, and a storage box designed by Alban Le Henry.

MOR Design is also present with some of the brand's pieces at the "Habitar Lisboa" exhibition (at the CCB’s Garagem Sul, until April 28th, 2024).

THE NEW PIECES

LIFT, by Julien Renault
Inspired by the graceful mechanics of elevators and the iconic LC 2 chair by Le Corbusier, the LIFT sofa takes both its name and aesthetic cues from these influences. Crafted by the hands of the designer Julien Renault, this piece pays homage to refined design, expert craftsmanship, and unparalleled quality.
Set apart from conventional sofas, the LIFT sofa boasts a distinct feature — a pristine wooden framework on its back that mirrors the contour of the cushions, unspoiled by the intrusion of bolts or screws.
Available in 3 sizes, the LIFT sofa collection also offers versatility in its choice of ash, oak, and walnut wood options. Complementing this, a diverse selection of fabric and leather upholstery colours can be chosen to tailor the piece to taste.
With its understated yet captivating aesthetic, the LIFT sofa effortlessly complements a multitude of environments. Its discreet charisma exudes an inviting charm that seamlessly merges modernism, comfort and sophistication.

COVO, by Rui Alves
Emerging from the essence of gathering, holding, and protecting, the COVO bowl, conceived by Rui Alves, encapsulates the imagery of a pair of hands cradling something precious, evoking the sensation of a nest or a chalice. These hands converge to present their entrusted treasure at the very heart of the bowl. The resultant shape is a seamless and gently hollowed structure — a perfect landing pad to display ornamental pieces, organizing small essentials, or even serving culinary delights. Uncomplicated yet purpose-driven, this artistic creation doubles as a sculptural centerpiece, gracing tabletops or shelves with its presence. Available in ash, oak and walnut wood, the COVO bowl enriches any space it graces, embodying both functionality and aesthetic allure.
