In this home, the communion with the sky and the stunning trees of Central Park is absolute. The house is an oasis, a place for rest and leisure, conceived for a family of five. Located just north of the Museum of Metropolitan Art, the idea was “to make sure all of the spaces could be used all of the time”.

The contemporary and luxurious style expresses the current identity of the interiors, which was the outcome of the rehabilitation project developed by the American practice Workshop/APD in partnership with the interior designer Jenny Stone. The kitchen, two living rooms, a dining room and the children’s bedrooms can be found on the first floor.

Access to the second floor, where the master bedroom is found, is provided by a magnificent staircase, made of painted steel and weed treads, exemplifying Workshop/APD’s crafted modern aesthetic. The choice of the floor to ceiling windows and the variety of soft tones - such as green, white and grey - also contribute to the final result: an atmosphere that is intimate, luxurious and that offers absolute comfort.
