Upon entering this fresh residence on the pleasant Sai Kung, no sooner have we left the bustle of Hong Kong, we find ourselves in a cosy ambience with an abundance of wood, plants and natural light. We are in Little Cove Espresso, a coffee shop inspired by laid-back Melbournian style, where customers can spend the day and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

The project was conceived by Hong Kong-based Studio Adjective, who wanted to create a clean and minimal approach. Among the highlights are the high ceiling, the natural coastal atmosphere and the plant settings, enhancing the city’s strong connection with the sea and seafood.

Designed with a grey marble top with weaving dark oak panels that symbolize the dynamic pattern of sea waves, the coffee bar is the key element of the place, combined as an L-shape sculptural workstation.
“The material palate emphasis on the texture of a natural coastal atmosphere, by adding rich texture by beige terrazzo flooring and a combination of wood, marble and grey metal for the furniture.”, added the studio.

The result is a relaxing and open atmosphere where people can gather, designed with comfort and soberness.
