Casa do Boi

A tile panel provides the name for this house by Leo Romano

The Brazilian architect Leo Romano developed a tile panel for the project of a house in Goiânia, and it was from these geometrical compositions in the shades of blue, yellow and white, that the name Casa do Boi (Bull house) came up.

Positioned on a valley, the house encounters nature around it and, due to these special circumstances, the totality of the project privileged the surrounding vegetation. The limits between the built space and the outdoors are almost imperceptible, as nature seems to enter inside the house, serving as a background for the social areas on the ground level. The design is defined by two main volumes, that overlap, being the top one for the rooms, while the ground floor features the social areas, that face the lake and pool.
