The concrete walls form the outer layers of this residence located in the surroundings of Ansião Village, in Leiria, designed for a client that was looking for “a functional house with a huge sense of aesthetics”, explain the architect Bruno Dias about the project completed in 2019.
The idea was to create a house in perfect harmony with nature, “organized through a main axis which not only intends to solve all the workable programme but also operates as a border element of the social and the private areas,” he reveals. Concrete, wood, and aluminum complete de colour range enhancing the clear interior-exterior connection which is also expressed through intimistic small patios, marked by a sense of permeability.
In the interiors, also signed by the studio, the minimalistic approach can be felt all over the three rooms, bathrooms, dining room, living room, a multipurpose hall and the service areas, spaces that, all of them, contribute to a blurring of the transition between the building and its surroundings.
