French artist Bertrand Lavier recently presented a sculpture made from colourful garden hoses, standing on the Serpentine Sackler Gallery's gardens until October 2015. The piece was entrusted by the London gallery, that has been commissioning works from several artists for the exterior of its space.

Fountain 2014
reflects what can be expected from the work of Bertrand Lavier, namely the use of common objects that are slightly modified or put out of context. The sculpture gathers different types of mass produced hoses, making unexpected effects with their water jets. A striking contrast emerges between the neoclassical facade of the Serpentine Sackler Gallery's building and the organic lines of its restaurant which was designed by Zaha Hadid.
