With a ten minute walking distance from the center of Shibuya, Japan, this recent apartment conceived by the Hiroyuki Ogawa’s practice reveals a unique and charming living space, painted in soft and neutral tones.

The residence, divided in two parts, is composed by a master bathroom, kitchen and half-bath in one side, while the other is home to the main room. Both places are separated by a series of sliding doors, built with naturally textured wood, filling the apartment with natural light when they’re open. The domed ceiling and the tile flooring enhance the feeling of spaciousness and serenity, creating a truly refuge for your mind and body.

For Hiroyuki Ogawa, the apartment becomes a complete “living bathroom - a large master bath or a spacious dining room - giving the possibility for such activities as reading, enjoying a film or having a cup of tea”.
