Oslo’s new Aparthotel Lakkegata brings together the comfort of a home and the simplicity of Nordic interiors.

Imagined by Skanska Norway, Forenom and Studio Puisto, the practice transformed an old red-brick building office into a flexible and attractive aparthotel, that could also stimulate growth in the neighborhood in the future. With its new concept for long-stay accommodation, the project offers a unique place for long-term travelers, combining smart design, comfort and efficiency.

With 163 bedrooms, the kitchen serves as the central element, creating a compact island and allowing guests to engage and move around with ease. “The units range from rooms with fresh interiors that harmoniously blend light wood tones with cool hues to more visually intensive rooms that juxtapose vibrant colors with rich, tactile materials,” explained the studio.

The result is an elegant, relaxing and economically-friendly place to stay, without compromising on architectural and interior design.
